Change is painful.
But nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don't belong."

A Word From Jessica
I start all intake sessions with the “30 Year / 30 Day” question. That is, over the last 30 years (give or take) you have lived your life and learned how to manage in a way that has kept you moving. However, over the last 30 days (give or take), something has happened that has made you say, “I need some support.” And that’s what has brought you to my office. Tell me about the last 30 days.
This therapeutic strategy has proven to be an excellent starting point as we begin to frame the issues and explore solutions. Once I help you to create your own "tool box," and fill it up with those "tools" (coping skills) that are unique to you, we can then spend time unpacking your “30 years” and reorganize it in a way that helps you find peace and acceptance. My door is open to you... I welcome you to come on in.
